Sinead Russell smashed through the national record in the women’s 200 backstroke, clocking 2:08.89 where Lauren Lavigna’s record from 2009 was 2:10.03. Erica Morningstar notched the Canadian record in the 200 IM, with a 2:11.23 where Julia Wilkingson’s record from August was 2:11.32. And Lauren Lavigna, Haylee Johnson, Noemie Thomas and Heather Maclean demolished the 400 medley national record with a 4:05.89, where the previous mark was 4:08.71.
