Tom Daley on Google Maps: Aquatics Centre Virtual Tour

Press release from Ideal Insight

Virtual tour specialists Ideal Insight have joined forces with Google, utilising their famous Street View technology, to create an interactive virtual tour inside the London Olympic Aquatics Centre.

You are now able to fully explore the venue over 120 360º panoramas on Google Maps, and if you climb to the edge of the 10-meter board you can even find Tom Daley in his Speedos and trademark pose about to take a dive!

Ideal Insight’s tour is accessible through Google Maps and provides an in-depth insight into all of the facilities the Aquatics Centre has to offer. This includes the Olympic pools, where many world records were broken, a state-of-the-art gym, dry-diving area and sports science space!

Ideal Insight, the virtual tour specialists who also produced the tour for the Olympic Copper Box Area, commented:

‘People can now explore this iconic London landmark via their laptop, tablet and mobile, giving encouragement for people to visit the centre in person. For those who weren’t lucky enough to get Olympic tickets, and for swimming fans across the world, the tour provides an engaging insight into this modern venue, where history has been made.’
