Olympic gold medalist Tyler McGill says he hopes to swim in the 2016 Olympics in Rio de Janeiro.
But it’s not as if the 25-year-old Champaign Central product has booked a hotel suite in Rio de Janeiro in 2016.
“I’m just going year by year. It’d be really difficult to put all your efforts into something that’s 31/2 years away,” McGill said Monday on the eve of the U.S. Championships in Indianapolis. “Rio is out there. But I don’t want to throw all my eggs in one basket at this time.”
