James Goddard turns to boxing to boost world championship hopes


Olympic swimmer James Goddard has turned to boxing world title hopeful Matthew Hatton to help him steal a length on rivals in the pool, aiming to get into the best shape of his career ahead of what could be his last FINA World Championships in Barcelona in July.

“It’s well known how hard boxers train but I never really realised until I got in the gym with them – it is quite incredible and very intense which is exactly the kind of environment I want.”
