The Faroese Short Course Championships started out well today, with 5 national records and 5 junior records being set during prelims and finals. See all results from prelims here and from finals here.

  • Women’s 50 fly: Astrið Foldarskarð 28.44, her 2011 record was 28.45

Finals / Faroese Champs

  • Women’s 200 IM: Poula Ø. Mohr 2:20.58, Elspa Mørkøre’s 2007 record was 2:21.22
  • Women’s 50 fly: Kristina Elin Thomsen 27.67, Astrið’s record from prelims was 28.44
  • Women’s 4×100 free: Ægir Klaksvík 3:58.58, their 2011 record was 3:59.98
  • Men’s 4×100 medley: HS Tórshavn 3:56.04, their 2011 record was 3:57.99

Junior records

  • Women’s 200 IM: Turið S. Christiansen 2:23.95, her 2011 record was 2:24.52
  • Women’s 50 fly: Kristina Elin Thomsen 28.49, Birita Debes’ 2011 record was 28.85
  • Men’s 4×100 medley: HS Tórshavn 4:02.79, their 2010 record was 4:15.95
